#STEMCELLSCOUSERS is a Merseyside-based community group, co-founded by Kevin and Mary Dunne, that raises awareness and funds for STEM CELL donation to save lives. We partner with organisations such as Anthony Nolan and DKMS (and NHS blood and transplant) to encourage more people to join the STEM CELL donor register.

Our Story
#STEMCELLSCOUSERS was founded after Mary was diagnosed with LEUKAEMIA and received a life-saving transplant from an anonymous donor through Anthony Nolan. Inspired by this experience, Kevin and Mary created the group to share their journey and help others.
Our Mission
Our goal is to raise awareness about the urgent need for STEM CELL donors and to share knowledge about 🩸BLOOD🩸 CANCERS, BLOOD disorders and the urgent need to recruit MORE BLOOD donors. We want to give people clear information, inspire potential donors, and support those affected by these conditions.

Partnerships and Fundraising
We collaborate with organisations such as Anthony Nolan, DKMS, and NHSBT to promote their donor registers and help fund the recruitment of new donors. It costs around £40 to add one person to the donor register, and our fundraising helps cover this vital cost.
Our campaigns — including #Register4Richie and #FindTanADonor — highlight the importance of donor registration and community support. We also run sessions to engage with the local community and educate people about BLOOD CANCERS and BLOOD disorders.
